Business Challenge
Current legacy system has become too difficult to manage all the services required in managing the physical mailboxes used by Canada Post to receive and deliver mail across the Country. Develop a work management system over the Internet using new software (JDE) to manage all mailboxes across the country. The new software must include all functionality in current system, and utilize the Internet to enable all Canada Post employees, and its contractors easy and affordable access to the system.
Solution
- Enabled Profac to log calls from public and post office.
- Easily create work orders, with suggested vendor, pricing, depending on area of country call came from.
- Notify Post Office of new work order and provide easy method to approve work order.
- Enable outside vendors to easily update work order when work completed with hours and other expenses, which would complete work order cycle.
- Create both A/P and A/R information from Work Order information entered above.
- Created various types of analytical reports as required to ensure a more efficient management of daily business operation.
- Mentor and knowledge transfer to internal technical team.
